چکیده
Liver regeneration is known to begin after experimentally induced liver resection. At first 24-48 hours, DNA synthesis reaches the maximum level resection and significantly occur on 10 days. In this study, we was examined of 1st 14th days
experiment 21 Wistar albino male rats were used. The randomly divided into three groups. All groups realized midline incision with laparotomy for liver. Pedicles left lateral median lobes applied 70% hepatectomy by 4/0 silk binding. end days, tissue removed light misroscobic analysis.
all showed some histopatological changes such as sinuzoidal dilatation, vacuolization in hepatocytes. This findings seem increase at II. grup more than groups.
Mitotic index, apoptotic index proliferation values group reached level. Other (III) dramatically reduced value these reach near control group. Relative weight that determined each statistically significant differences compared

Apoptotic Index and Proliferative Index in Premalignant and Malignant Squamous Cell Lesions of the Oral Cavity
BACKGROUND Oral squamous cell lesions are most commonly diagnosed lesions in India. Both premalignant and malignant lesions are frequently encountered. In this study, we evaluated the role and significance of apoptotic indices (AI) and proliferative indices (PI) in premalignant and malignant squamous cell lesions of the oral cavity. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 62 histologically proven ca...
متن کاملEvaluating the Importance of Apoptotic Index, Mitotic Index and Turnover Index in Premalignant and Malignant Lesions of Cervix
Aim: To evaluate the premalignant and malignant lesions of the uterine cervix on light microscopy for apoptosis. To calculate and correlate the apoptotic index (AI), mitotic index (MI) and turnover index of the lesions. Materials and methods: A 2-year retrospective (November 2007 to October 2009) and 1-year prospective study (November 2009 to October 2010). A total of 95 cases of premalignant a...
متن کاملProliferative index in astrocytic tumours.
The accurate grading of astrocytic tumours is of prime importance because it is critical to the patient management and survival/outcome. Although internationally accepted WHO grading system of CNS tumours is based on histological features of H&E stained sections, yet there are cases where differentiation between grade II and grade III is difficult particularly when the biopsy is small. Prolifer...
متن کاملThe Prognostic Role of Mitotic Index in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Patients after Curative Hepatectomy
PURPOSE High proliferation rate is a hallmark of cancer. The mitotic index is a useful and simple method for analysis of cell proliferation. However, the practical utility of mitotic index as a predictor of prognosis in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has not been determined. Therefore, we examined mitotic index as a prognostic marker in HCC patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS We cou...
